CURRY with RICE (Japanese Style)

INGREDIENTS (for four people)

-Curry sause-
ˇ250g meat (beef, chicken, or pork)
ˇ2 medium size (300g) onion
ˇ2 medium size (300g) potato
ˇ1 medium size (150g) carrot
ˇ2 tbsps oil or butter
ˇlittle salt and pepper
ˇ800cc water
ˇ1/2 (120g) package curry

-Rice-
ˇ3 cups rice
ˇ3 3/5 cups water

These pictures are curry packages which you need to cook with this recipe.

-Rice-
1. Wash rice with cold water and soak in water for at least 30 minutes.
2. Cook in a saucepan with water. You need 1.2 times water than rice.
3. Cook rice over high flame until it boils, and turn to medium flame for a few minutes. Then for 15 minutes at low flame. Do not open the lid during cooking.
4. After rice is cooked, keep the lid on for 10 minutes.

-Curry-
1. Cut onion, potato, carrot, and meat into the size which you like.(Maybe about 2-4cm cubes)
2. Heat oil in a pan.
3. Fry onion, potato, carrot and meat with a little salt and pepper.
4. After the color of onion changed to golden yellow, boil water (800cc) and 3. in a pot.
5. After potato became not hard, put half package of curry into 4.
6. Boil it at low flame for at least 30 minutes. (As long as possible)
7. Serve curry with rice on plates.
8. Say "itadaki-masu".
